Hou Tou Gu, also known as Monkey’s Head Mushroom or Lion’s Mane Mushroom, are large, white or yellowish, shaggy mushroom. The mushroom contains loads of amino acids, vitamin B1, B2 and various minerals. It can help boost the immune system, beneficial to intestinal health, lower cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Monkey Head Mushroom is common in gourmet cooking with its unique flavor. It is often used as a meat substitute in vegetarian dishes.
