DT Radix Achyranthis (Huai Niu Qi)

Radix Achyranthis (Huai Niu Qi) is bitter and sour in taste and neutral in nature. Niu Qi has the main action to tonify the liver and kidneys and strengthen the bones and sinews. Apply to sour pain of waist and knees, tired and soft of lower limbs. Niu Qi invigorates blood, remove blood stasis, promote urination. It directs the blood to move downward and hence helps women with irregular periods and abdominal pain after giving birth. It also relieves headache, toothache and sore throat. It can be used in preparation of tea, soup and medicine.

Cautions:

• There are two types of “Niu Qi”. Huai Niu Qi (懷牛膝) and “Chuan Niu Qi” (川牛膝) with different properties. Please consult your physician for the professional opinion first.
• Stop using if experienced spermatorrhea or excessive menstruation.
• Do not use during pregnancy.
