Euryales Seed (Zhao Shi) is also known as Qian Shi which is the dried mature kernel of Euryale Ferox Salisb (lotus plant). It is sweet, astringent, and neutral. It supports the kidney, secures essence, supplements the spleen, relieves diarrhea, eliminates dampness, relieves vaginal discharge. Apply to spermatorrhea, frequent urination, chronic diarrhea due to spleen deficiency and vaginal discharge. It is often used in preparations of soup and Ching Po Leung Herbal Soup.
