藥理作用: 辛夷花多為外用，也可煎湯內服。辛夷花辛溫發散，芳香通竅，其性上達，外能祛除風寒邪氣，內能升達肺胃清氣，善通鼻竅，為治鼻塞、流涕之要藥。現代研究也曾表示辛夷花有收縮鼻粘膜血管的作用，能保護鼻粘膜，並促進粘膜分泌物的吸收，減輕炎症，乃至鼻腔通暢，對鼻炎、過敏性鼻炎、肥厚性鼻炎、鼻窦炎、副鼻窦炎等鼻疾，均有良效。
