What Is Agar Agar?
Agar-Agar is a plant based gelatin derived from seaweed. It is a good vegetarian substitute for gelatin.
Before agar can be added to a recipe, dissolved the agar in water and then boiled; it cannot be simply dissolved in a liquid or added directly to food.
A famous Cantonese dessert : Whisked egg Agar-Agar with rock sugar is a Chinese jelly, usually served in summer.
